I have tried many times to get into a firm graphite. I rarely, if ever, write on just one sheet on a hard surface. I think the firm cores would shine in that circumstance. I’ve always loved a smooth, dark line with pencils. This works best for me in the notebooks I use. Basically as close to an erasable pen that I can get. As it is, the word Frixion is not uttered in this house.
