What's On My Desk: Plain™ Notebook and Ohto Fude
I’m using different everyday pens and notebooks for the first time in ages. In my pocket now is a “Research Notes” from Plain™ Stationery (a blank notebook with a wizard on it!) and a green Ohto Fude pen. Both were gifts from my children, purchased from Paper and Pen in the Andersonville neighborhood in the beautiful and welcoming city of Chicago. Also, I stole my wife’s frosted Kaweco sport and was using that until the birthday gifts rolled in.
I finished the Field Notes Film Festival edition over the last two months and jotted down a few things to remember: a foot locker sits at the foot of the bed, the Fregoli delusion is the belief that different people are in fact a single person who changes appearance, Roos Roast in Ann Arbor serves a triple-shot long pull that I have been thinking about nonstop for a month, Russia jammed the EU president’s plane GPS and we barely noticed, Richard Linklater named his film production company after the cheaply and efficiently made noir Detour.
